Account Deletion

This page explains how users of the ClearJob mobile app can request deletion of their ClearJob account and associated data. ClearJob is operated by Brown Consulting LLC d/b/a ClearJob.

How to request account deletion

  1. In the ClearJob app: Open Profile > Request Account Deletion and submit the deletion request from your signed-in account.
  2. From the web or email: Email privacy@clearjob.app from the email address on your ClearJob account with the subject Delete my ClearJob account. Include your account email and business name if you have one.
  3. If you cannot access the email address on your account, contact privacy@clearjob.app and tell us what account you need help deleting. We may ask for additional information to verify that you control the account.

After we verify the request, we generally complete account deletion within 30 days and send confirmation to the account email address. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Data deleted or de-identified

When a verified deletion request is completed, ClearJob deletes or de-identifies account data associated with the requesting ClearJob account, including:

  • Authentication account, sign-in credentials, session data, and account profile
  • Business profile, account settings, notification preferences, and team membership records
  • Customers and customer contact details entered into the account
  • Requests, jobs, schedules, statuses, notes, timeline activity, and app activity tied to the account
  • Estimates, estimate line items, invoices, payment preferences, receipts, photos, files, and documents tied to the account
  • Waitlist, beta, support, or feedback records that are directly associated with the account, unless retained for one of the reasons below

Data we may keep

ClearJob may retain limited information when needed for legal, tax, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or compliance purposes. Retained data is restricted to those purposes and is not used to keep an active ClearJob account open.

  • Billing, payment, tax, accounting, and dispute records: kept as required by law or business record obligations, generally up to 7 years.
  • Security, fraud-prevention, abuse-prevention, and audit logs: kept only as long as needed for safety, investigation, or compliance, generally up to 2 years.
  • Deletion request records: kept so we can document and honor the request, generally up to 3 years.
  • Backups and service-provider logs: may persist for up to 90 days before aging out through normal backup rotation.

Some transaction records may also be retained by service providers, such as Stripe, Supabase, email delivery providers, or SMS delivery providers, under their own legal and compliance obligations.

Before you delete

If you need a copy of your ClearJob data before deletion, request an export at privacy@clearjob.app before submitting or confirming account deletion. Once deletion is completed, the active account and associated app data cannot be restored.
